What gets checked
- Exact product and configuration, seller, region, stock status, shipping cost, coupon requirements, and final checkout price.
- Recent normal street price rather than the retailer's reference price alone.
- Competing products available for similar money and the compromises that remain.
- Warranty, return policy, marketplace seller status, and regional compatibility.
Time and availability
Deal pages state when a price was checked. When an offer expires, the page should say so and point to current alternatives; the publication date is not changed simply to imply freshness.
